BMDT is a contemporary modern dance theatre founded on the campus of Georgetown Univeristy by african amarican women over twenty years ago who had a passion for dance and the artistic vison to express the african american experience to the entire Georgetown community. Currently, under the artisitc direction of Alfreda Davis, BMDT allows students the opprotunity to perform, choreograph and study dance with professional dance artists. BMDT has a rich diverse heritage, ever expanding audience and works which have been embraced throughout the community. BMDT seeks members wholly devoted to the creative process and outstanding leadership. Through a formal audition procress, BMDT openly welcomes new talent and artists who share BMDT' vision for community, artistry, leadership and production.
